Rat the Magnificent release Up The Street

A first look at the album artwork from The Body As Pleasure

Rat the Magnificent are a heady mix of obstinance and oblivion. Described as “Strutting blues” and “knuckle-busting riffage” [NPR Music] Up The Street features the band at their most defiant, a fully blasted piece of theatrical rock and roll.

UP THE STREET on bandcamp

Up The Street is the second track released from The Body As Pleasure, Rat the Magnificent’s debut album released on TTWD Records 21st June 2018.

“Crank “Up The Street” to a volume that shakes the dust from your creaky bones. Made stiff from years of rock and roll neglect, you are now redeemed by the nasty howl and stomp of Rat the Magnificent. Hallelujah and hot damn.” NPR Music
“Sometimes a blast of full on swaggering rock helps clear the cobwebs and ‘Up The Street’ is all of that. The vocals are immersed in the mix, the guitars dominate with serious intent and the driving rhythm is mesmerising.” Beehive Candy

New Rat The Magnificent Single

We’re very proud to announce that we will be releasing the new single In The Middle by Rat The Magnificent on 21st December 2017.  It will be backed by 2 b-sides recorded at Brixton Hill Studios by Nick Howiantz with Jen Macro (Hurtling, MBV, Graham Coxon, Charlotte Hatherley) on guitar.

Cheel Ghar and Rat the Magnificent have been enjoying themselves playing out and about.
A massive massive festive cheers to all of those who have hosted and played with the bands in Sheffield, Boston Music Rooms, Brixton Windmill, the Garage, the Winchester, Outsider Art, Mclusky*

There’s one show before we mourn the loss of 2K15, (unless someone drops a last minute this direction), Rat the Magnificent back at the Anvil, Bournemouth with OHHMS, Greenhorn and Old Man Lizard.

TTWD did a show!

The TTWD family were out in force last week in Bournemouth. We were very happy to share the stage with our own Rat the Magnificent & Cheel Ghar, and be joined by the force of nature that are our Belgian friends Black Swarm, and also the fucking incredible Art of Burning Water.

Thanks to everyone who came down, apologies if you had to talk to any of us after the second bottle of whisky had been cracked open.

Here’s a few photos. Thanks to Richard Preston & Katie Harris. Also, thanks to gigsandbands.com who came down & took these.
